TOXSA also hosted a health risk assessment course during November 2010. The course was sponsored by the International Council of Science Unions (ICSU) and the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Sixteen Students attended the course last year and with it intended to be an annual occurrence, it was decided to include 25 students for this year’s course, of which 20 students will come from the Republic of South Africa and 5 students from other countries in Africa. Advertisement for this course will commence soon and TOXSA members will be kept up to date.
